Student Assistant, International Economics 20%

The international economics group, located at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Basel and led by Prof. Andreas Müller, is hiring a Student Assistant. The average workload will be 8 hours per week.
Start date: September 2025 (exact date to be determined). The initial contract is for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension.

Your position

The job involves research and teaching support to Prof. Andreas Müller and the researchers in the international economics group.

Your profile

You are interested in international economics and macroeconomics broadly speaking. Some of the work will consist in obtaining, organizing and visualizing data for research and teaching purposes, so an affinity to scientific software and data management is helpful.  Ideally, you have experience with Stata and LaTeX.
Applicants must be students in good standing at the University of Basel. The ideal assistant studies in the Bachelor's or the Master's program of the Faculty of Business and Economics. In addition, a high level of self-reliance and an efficient attitude to work is expected for this job.
