Student assistant in the Environmental Geosciences research group

on an hourly basis / as soon as possible

The research group Environmental Geosciences of the Department of Environmental Sciences is looking for a student assistant to support its team with immediate effect. The candidate will assist several members of staff and be involved in various ongoing projects.
 

Your position

  • Assisting with various sample preparations in the lab, e.g. sieving, grinding and weighing
  • Preparation of soil and sediment samples for 13C and 15N isotope analyses

Your profile

  • Student at the University of Basel (BSC/MSC); preferably in the field of environmental sciences, biology or chemistry 
  • Good knowledge of English

We are looking for a person who can imagine supporting our group, preferably over a longer period of time. As this position involves almost exclusively laboratory work, laboratory experience and/or interest is an advantage. Previous knowledge of the techniques used by our group is not required as you will be trained in all procedures accordingly.
