100% position for 4 years, starting date: immediately or as agreed

The research group “Magnetic Resonance Physics and Methodology” at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Basel is looking for a PhD candidate.

Your position

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), developed in the early 1970s, offers exceptional soft tissue sensitivity and has powered the astounding progress of medicine over the past fifty years. And it continues to do so. Realizing these potential benefits through research and development is one of the most important challenges in state-of-the-art biomedical engineering. Our research is focused on the fundamentals of magnetic resonance physics, as well as on the development of dedicated MR methods and data post-processing methods for applications in biophysical, biochemical, and clinical sciences.
